If you do so there will be a protrusion in this sector. Normally, for a house it is not advisable for a house to have protrusion especially in the true cardinal directions (North, South, East, West). Under Feng Shui interpretation, it is best not to have protrusion at the North.

You can still use the existing center point.
However one caution:-
1. Your Flying Star of the house may change.
This is especially if your house is built in the period 6 or less (1983 and below). This means that if you have good stars in the previous year, and this changes, your luck may change to the new chart.
