Dear Damodar,
Weak or strong is determined by several factors:
1. On a very general level, the day of birth is referenced to the season the person is born. Based on the interaction of the season ELEMENT STRENGTH, it is looked at in relation to the person's ELEMENT.
2. Depending on the type of Pillars of Destiny chart `done':
2.1 Some simply look at the day of birth, while others look deeper using the interaction of the four pillars. More advanced analysis looks at all four pillars: Year, Month, Day and Time + House of Life and House of Conception.
More advanced analysis looks at each pillar = Heaven stem and earthly branches with reference to other stems and earthly branches plus looking at combinations / triple combinations of either clashes or harms. The final result is where one obtains weak or strong element.
For the Grand Duke. If the Grand Duke is e.g. in the North. One should be e.g. sitting North facing South. So that one would not confront the grand duke.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
