Ideally, more importance is placed on the placement of the stove. The placement of the oven takes second priority.
If the kitchen is at the South compass direction, it can still be considered facing `out' of the house i.e. towards the entrance.
Can you confirm whether you meant the oven or the stove in the above.

Frankly, there is nothing much one can do here since the toilets are the least moveable parts of the home.

Overall, although parts of the stair case is near the centre, it can still be considered clear space.
