Dear Ryan,
Under Feng Shui, there is a concept which I termed the 33.3% ruleset.
Under this concept, anything not larger than 33.3 percent normally would not pose any effect on the surrounding.
For example, of a `missing corner' in a building. It has to be 33.3 percent `missing' from the sector of the house.
This is why, usually when we paint the wall, and if we paint quite a large area of a room it would normally exceed 33.3 percent.
In the same parallel, the little turtles would usually not have any effect. Therefore, place it somewhere both you and your girlfriend feels comfortable with. (Other than the bedroom).
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
