In my opinion, in a small room although technically speaking one can still divide the room into 8 sectors but from my past experience, the influence of the 8 divisions is very small or minute. As compared with the eight sectors in a larger setting e.g. a full apartment.
Already, the Eight House is not a greater `scorer' of marks. And in my opinion, such a sub-division adds to or has minimal effects.

It is best to still keep the bed within good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui.
Frankly and honestly, under Eight House, there is currently not much one can do to help in such a situation.
