So my family is looking for a new house. We want an apartment on the first floor.

We have been living for more than 10 years in a 7 period house with a NW3 entrance. Apartment #8, 3rd floor, house #15.

Our dates of birth are:

03\11\93 , 05\10\53 , 29\06\48

I generated all of the free reports your site has to offer and read many of your articles.

But I do have a problem, while searching for a house I want to put my attention on the house number, but the house number report seems to be relevant only for the 7th period. I hope I'm wrong?

Our family was going through very bad times this year, many deaths have occured, many health problems, it may be because my room is in the west where the flying star #2 is for this year.

We want a fresh start, my parents are more concerned with our financial status and I want some psychological peace and maybe romance luck. Also my parents sleep in seperate rooms and I'd want them to sleep together.

Our most auspicious directions our southwest, northwest and south(for each person). How should we solve this conflict?

I'd appreciate any advices, since searching for a new house is a very big headache and there are many factors to consider. Do you have anything specific for us?

Plus the house number thing really caught my attention, I'd like a house with an auspicious number but is the house number report relevant for the 8th period?

    there is an apartment of period7 construction,with entrance as E2 FACING (gate) but the longer side and the apartment facing falls under N2 FACING.with a distance of 15feet there is another apartment constructed opposite to it.i think this opposite  building working as a mountain.my questions:

i would prefer to ask you my doubt in flying star section,my question in brief is as follows:
we recently entered a flat which is south2 facing(building +main entrance gates)as we proceed to inside ,the entrance is located almost central to the entire apartment,with west facing,(stairs and lift)which leads to other floors from the ground floor.ours fall in west2 direction(facing)in first floor,just above the entrance.the structure completed its construction in nov2003.
1)as south is the main mouth of the apartment shall i plot south facing flying star chart or

My house main door is in the North-West sector of the house, but the main door is itself facing North. So is my house considered to be facing North-West or North? Hi, i living in a terrace house, my house's main door is facing NE2. i been convince by some fengshui book saiding that, to determine the facing direction, we must look at the external factor, like is it facing unobstruct view, facing a road, or facing a max yang energy. now the question is from my back door, i actually can see some view beyond and is facing a main road( house level located higher than the road), also i can see there is a school at the west direction; while from my main door at NE2, all the view is blocked by the houses opposite.

My house is NE2 P8, I plan to place moving metal (clock with working pendulum, windchime) to cure #5 #2 in sectors with 5,2,8 combination.

Would moving metal also suppress the good earth star #8?

I have also read somewhere that using clock is not good in feng shui, because clock represent past time, meaning death.  I am so confused and don't know if I should still use clock for the cure.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm a west I know that overall, this home is an East group home but I'm trying to make the best of it unilt I can move.

It just dawned on me that the only direction my head can face in the master bedroom is south (my worst direction). I can move to another bedroom which would be in the Northeast corner of the townhouse (my excellent direction) . However in order to have the back of my bed against a wall and see the door and not be under a window, my head would have to face north (an inauspicious direction) unless I angled the bed away from the wall so my head also faced northeast but there would be a space between the back of the bed and the wall. 

Is it enough to have the bedroom in an auspicious direction of the home or does (in this case) the bed (and the direction my head points) also have to face an auspicious direction? If so, would it be best to pull my bedout and angle it so that my head faced northeast also?

I have read in one POST, that we should not use windchime in NorthEast or SouthWest sector.  Is it still true if we have star #2 and #5 in NE or SW?  Can we use windchime as a cure for #2 and #5 in NE or SW sector?  If not, what do you suggest to use?

I have a general question.
Given a plan of a house with terrace at W and SW. The terrace has no roof but it is surrounded by metal fence (see pic attached).

1. Is the terrace counted as missing area?

2. If yes, how to cure it according flying star?
By putting lamp at 4 corners of terrace or may use potted plants instead of lamps?

Info about flying star those sectors.
West: MS#2 WS#3 BS#9 (2009 star #2)
SouthWest: MS#7 WS#7 BS#4 (2009 star #6)

Is a 8-5 combination ok for a bedroom only for sleeping ( base star 4 ) ? Since sleeping activate the 8 sitting star and de-activate number 5 facing star. even though the room is in the west with annual number 2.  Thanks for your advice.

My house is facing E2 and sitting W2, so I have MS8, WS8, BS1 at the back of my house. My kitchen is located at that W2 too. I just want to activate the good star MS8 and WS8. I plan to put a rock to activate the MS8. I just wonder where I should place the the rock. Can I place it on the floor under the kitchen or on the kitchen table? I've encountered with the sum of ten combination like M8 W2 B5 A6. Actually what is the benefit of the sum of ten. What I see is two bad star #2 and #5 which should be cure with metal and then will weaken the good star #8. So, I don't see any good of this combination. Question 1

I'm a East Group person, with gua wood 3 chen.  I thought I should live in an East Group house, preferably of the same trigram - Chen. I just bought a house built in period 8, facing W2, hence a double facing Chen house.  But the house faces West, how is it possible to have my main door to face East?

Question 2

The double facing house has both the ruling stars (mountain and water) in the West section.  But isn't the West section the "Death" direction to a Chen person?  Important sections of the house like living area and master bedroom  are usually in the same section as the Main Door?

I would be most grateful if you could enlighten me on this matter.

I am learning about Flying Star. I see that mostly people talking about mountain star and water star. Like there are M2 W5, then it needs metal cure. There are M8 and W8, then it need enhancer like fountain, etc.
And talking about annual star, like the #5 is coming at North this year then it needs wind chime, the #2 is coming at west then it needs 6 coins etc.
But hardly I heard like the base star #2 is at NE, it needs cure or #8 at center, it needs enhancer.
The question is: is it really the mountain and water star and annual star so much important to consider rather than the base star and so it can just be ignored? In my opinion, the base star should be more important than the annual star since it locates permanently-at least for 20 years-like mountain and water star.
Is that true?

Does wall selves activate mountain star? I have SE sector with M2 W5. I learned that to cure these bad star, I have to place wu lou and 5 element pagoda. I've tried to make my own analysis and just want to ask for your opinion about curing #2 and #5.
1. SE has M2, W5, B7, annual 8. Since there are two bad and strong earth #2 and #5 Vs SE wood and weak #7 metal, it still needs metal cure. So I plan to use salt water cure. Is it OK? Or is it better to use 6 coin in red ribbon? Or maybe should I use both of them?
2. N has M5, W2, B4, annual 5. Since there are three bad and strong earth #5, #2, and #5 vs N water and weak #4 wood, it still needs metal cure. So I plan to use 6 rods wind chime and 6 coin in red ribbon. Is it OK? Do I still need salt water cure?

Hi! I have bought Lillian Too's book 'Feng Shui Life Planner' and read about the House Trigram Formula and Flying Star Formula. From what I read, the house trigram formula consists of numbers based on the house's sitting position and the annual star. The flying star formula consists of numbers based on the period of the house (facing direction) and the water and mountain star. It is also said that the House Trigram formula is a branch of the flying star formula.

I can understand the use and basic interpretation of the numbers for them individually but can both formula co-exists, do they complement each other or do I have to choose one over another? A specific sector of the house may have good numbers in one formula and bad in another formula. In this case, which one should I be looking at?
  Also, how do we use the annual and even monthly star on the Flying Star formula?   Can I use pie chart on flying star rather than the grid?   Thanks!

We are west group persons- kua7 &8. We will start building our home this year 2009. That makes it a period 8 house. Our rectangular lot is sitting west facing east(Tui lot). Back yard is along northwest, west and southwest. The north and south sides are the long side of the rectangle with both sides adjacent to our neighbors' property. We have recently booked a flat and realised the main door direction (North) is facing disaster and death line.

Besides this, the unit number is #24-69. I am troubled by the unit number as 24 doesnt sound nice in dialects and also with a digit 4. I am very concerned about this number as i am worry that it would affect our stay there.

I am very happy to have found your forum.  I have been studying Flying Star (Xuan Kong) using Eva Wong's book "A Master Course in Feng Shui" and I'm having trouble determining the facing side of my house.  I've attached diagram which gives as much detail as I could.  It's unique in that there are numerous large deciduous and some evergreen trees all around, blocking the view in the summer.  It's a Cycle 2 House (built in 1898).  I'm having trouble determining if the side with the main entrance is facing or if it's the side with most of the windows.  Please help.

Is it true that even if an OX person belongs to the east group he/she can still sit facing a NE1 direction or live in a NE1 house without worry because this is the OX direction and that he/she would still be protected? And what about the opposite of a West Group Ox person facing a N2, RAT direction is he/she also protected because the RAT and OX together forms an auspicious combination?

Which brings to mind a friend of mine, he once told me that he had a house audited by Feng Shui Master and was told that No Horses will Survive in this house! he didnt refer to my friend but to astrological HORSE Sign people in general could not and should not live in that house is it perhaps because it was facing N2, RAT direction or was it of another reason altogether? is there even such a thing?

 I have heard of a technique of using STARS to cure STARS. for example if a certain location has a malevolent #2 all that needs to be done is to find where water star #6 is and make sure that they see each other or mix meaning that there is a clear path between these two stars so that they can heal each other. How valid is this theory?

Also what about HeTu Combinations? Like if #7 meets #2 they combine to create fire energy which means their original harmful energies are changed

Like in period 8, I often read that #3 star is useable... does that mean you can tap into it safely without its malevolent repercussions?

If for example where a mountain star #8 is located inside the house, the land corresponding to that sector outside slopes away downwards. Is planting several big trees enough to activate/support the mountain star? And what about curing the slope by dumping soil in that area to reverse the slope, but it will go only as far as your lot, pass your lot of course the ground still slopes downwards.

Also, I know this might sound like a silly question but I was just curious. Lets say that I want to activate #8 Mountain star with a big tree, wont the wood deplete the earth energy of that star? Same goes for mountain star #1 if I activated it with a tree wont that also weaken its energy? Just a curious thought

Recently i read a phrase on FS that says "Form activates the Stars and the Stars in turn influence the PEOPLE", may i know is this such saying in classical FS?

If the above statement is correct, does that mean for each palace/sector u need the appropriate form to activate the facing or sitting stars? Does this also mean that we can use the appropriate form to activate/deactivate our desired/undesired star i.e facing/sitting star for a certain palace? May i know how close should the form be near to the palace? If for an example one is staying on the 15th floor and there is a x-junction downstairs just outside the bedroom, does the x-junction still consider a substainable form to activate the facing star? 

I also read about facing star is YANG in nature and sitting star YIN. In order to actvate the Facing Star, we need to add activity i.e. water features and vice versa for the sitting star where the activation is done by maintaining inactivity. Is this correct? does the same theory works in the deactivation of undesired star i.e. by introducing activity if the sitting star is e.g. a #2?

Hi Cecil Lee, I'm new here. Hope you can help me with my problem. I've been trying to chart my house for about one month now, finally I have chart it with square grid chart for flying star. I have place a few cures already, but my problem begins when I use the 8 mansion chart which is a pie chart everything goes wrong, my facing direction which is S, SW and S becomes SW only. My husband & I purchased and moved into our period 6 house  3 years ago and within a few months we both had an onslot of  health and  financial difficulties that we have never had before and it still continues today.  We are not even 50 and still have a way to go this life but this long-run is very unusual for us.   I am currently involved in a legal matter where I am the plaintiff and am wondering about area to enhance (for my justice) regarding this matter.

Our house is a bi-level and faces N and is a rectangle shape; the front door is at ground level and middle of house facing N (at north 8 degrees) there is a split staircase when you enter here;  backdoor faces SE and is on the upper level (when you use this door you must use staircase to get down to the ground level or up from ground level ) we use this door regularly.  I am a bit confused on the star combinations  but I think we must be cautious in  S, SW and NE because we are period 6. 

(N)  We are having our front walkway which is made of concrete patio square blocks replaced as current blocks all have long cracks right in center of them.  Imagine, cracked blocks from the street right to our front door, yikes!   Master Cecil,  I have suspected that this has been where the trouble started as these have been this way since we moved in.  We are very blessed that our family will assist to change these.    Is the remedy to place a 6 rod-hollow metal wind chime while the work is being done?

 (S/SW) We also have an in-ground pool that must-must have a new pool-liner installed this year - it cannot be left another year unfortunately.  Pool is in the SW and S area of the backyard.  I understand any activity for this area can be remedied with a 6 rod-hollow metal wind chime here while the work is done - is that correct?  

I would greatly be blessed with any suggestion you may have.

Hi,

I am an east person (gua number 9) and can place my bed either in the east/southeast corner (head towards south) or the northwest corner (head towards east) of my apartment. Since the east and southeast directions are good for me, I guess that would be a better place.

However, that means my bed and feet are facing the main door, and I read that these two are not good things.

So what would you suggest in this case?
