myfs_88310
Dear Master Cecil:I am very troubled at the moment. My next door neighbor puts a mirror outside and facing my house. It is an ordinary flat surface mirror. It is NOT a convex or concave or ba gua mirror.First, does this mirror pose a threat to the Feng Shui of my house?Second, what should I do if this mirror is a threat? Do I use a convex mirror to disperse it?Please help and provide advice. Thank you very much.Regards,Anon
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 2, 2003 Staff Share Posted March 2, 2003 Dear Anon,Yes, a flat mirror with appropriate dimensions are often placed on the advice of temple priests. If your door is within 1 to 2 metres away from your neighour's this can be a threat to your home.Do try to estimate the size of the mirror. Often it is 8 inches by x inches. Sometimes, it can be very large i.e. 17 inches by 17 inches (43cm by 43cm).Please check:1. Do you have an altar? If so, is it currently facing outwards of your main door. Such that when one steps into your home, (main door) it is in full view?2. Is there any poison arrow coming from your home. For example an arrow-head signage or main door with arrow-head grille gate?3. Any perceived poison arrow coming from your unit `aimed' towards your neighbours?4. Have you or your family - at logger-head (or had quarrelled with your neighbour?Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 3/2/2003 11:20:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Master Cecil:I am very troubled at themoment. myfs_88310
Dear Master Cecil:Thank you for your concern about my problem with my next door neighbor's mirror. The mirror is "at most" 7.5 inches in width and 3 inches in length with flat surface. My next door neighbor leans this mirror against their second floor window, which faces the right hand side of my house. I am able to see this mirror when I walk out of my house. Their second floor window is at least 5 metres (more than 17 feet) away from the side of my house. To answer your questions. No, there is no altar in my house and there is no poison arrow; i.e. an arrow-head signage or main door with arrow-head grille gate, coming out of my house or aiming towards my neighbor. My next door neighbor is a less educated household in our housing community known for violating all kinds of rules and regulations. I am on "no-speaking" term with them.Is this mirror a threat to the Feng Shui of my house?Would a convex mirror be useful to disperse the effect of this flat surface mirror? Of course, if I put a convex mirror anywhere outside of my house, my mirror would be at least 5 metres away from their house (the same as their mirror is at least 5 metres away from my house).Does the size of a flat surface or a convex mirror matter in the context of Feng Shui?Warmest Regards,Anon Quote On 3/2/2003 11:57:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Anon,Yes, a flat mirror withappropriate dimensions areoften placed on the advice oftemple priests. If your door is within 1 to 2metres away from yourneighour's this can be athreat to your home.Do try to estimate the size ofthe mirror. Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 4, 2003 Staff Share Posted March 4, 2003 Dear Anon,Can I clarify the following points:1. The neighbour's mirror - facing your property: Is there perhaps a lone tree growing in your compound that seems to slice thru the window or second floor of your neighbour? Or alternatively, is there a private street lamp within your compound that slices into the second floor window of your neighbour?2. When you stand at the main entrance, looking outside; can you see the mirror?Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 3/3/2003 6:57:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Master Cecil:Thank you for your concernabout my problem with my nextdoor neighbor's mirror. The mirror is "at most" 7.5inches in width and 3 inchesin length with flat surface. My next door neighbor leansthis mirror against theirsecond floor window, whichfaces the right hand side ofmy house.
